Some stories begin with a dream. Ours began with a hardship.

When breast cancer came into my life, everything was put on hold. And in that suspended time, I rediscovered a simple joy: creating with my hands. A little resin, some glitter, lots of colour… The first hair clips were born on my table, like little lights on days that really needed them.

I took those hair clips to the craft markets of La Réunion. And there, something magical happened: smiles, customers who came back, who bought them for their sister, their daughter, their mum.

Then came the little flowers. I shaped our very first charms one by one in polymer clay. They were an instant, huge success. So I reinvented them in resin, and it was those flowers that gave me the push to have my first moulds made. That day, Les Nicolettes was truly born.

We then opened our online shop, and the adventure took off. Then, in May 2025, a dream came true: opening our very first shop in La Réunion, right where it all began, at the island’s markets.

Today, Les Nicolettes is a team of 5 full-time employees, along with two sheltered workshops (ESAT) that support us every day by carefully packaging each of our creations. A human, inclusive adventure that makes more than 60,000 customers sparkle with our glitter resin jewellery, handmade in France, and brings together more than 200,000 people on our social media.

That hardship taught me that joy is something you grow, wear and share. That is exactly what we put into each of our creations: a burst of colour to brighten your day.

Thank you.

Thank you, our customers, for believing in these little flowers from day one and for continuing to wear them so proudly. Thank you to our partner shops, who take Les Nicolettes far beyond La Réunion. Thank you to our team, who put their heart into every creation, every day. Thank you to the workers of the two ESATs, who package each of our creations with such precision and good cheer.

And thank you to my loved ones, to everyone who held my hand when the road was harder: without you, none of this would exist.

Take care of yourselves, and hold on to whatever makes you smile.

With all my love,

Lucie, founder of Les Nicolettes
